SMALL INTESTINE IMBALANCES

Full Heat in Small Intestine
TONGUE: red with redder and swollen tip, yellow coat
PULSE: rapid
SIGNS/SYMPTOMS: mental restlessness, tongue ulcers, throat pain, deafness, discomfort in the chest, sensation of heat in the chest, abdominal pain, thirst, scanty dark urine, painful urination, blood in the urine.

URI (upper respiratory infection), stomach or intestinal flu, acute intestinal blockage, bladder infection, urinary tract infection

Small Intestine Deficient and Cold
TONGUE: pale body, white coating PULSE: deep, slow, weak
SIGNS/SYMPTOMS: abdominal pain, desire for hot drinks and touch on the abdomen, diarrhea, pale and copious urination, borborygmus (audibly noisy stomach)
