Bi SYNDROME - PAINFUL OBSTRUCTION SYNDROME

WIND or WANDERING BI
TONGUE: thin, sticky coat
PULSE: superficial & tight or superficial & slow
SIGNS/SYMPTOMS: sudden onset, transient pain in the joints which changes unpredictably from joint to joint, limited range of motion, possibly chills and fever.

PAINFUL or COLD BI
TONGUE: thin, white coat
PULSE: wiry or tense pulse
SIGNS/SYMPTOMS: severe stabbing pain in the joints, condition is improved by warmth and worsened by cold, the painful is usually fixed.

DAMP BI
TONGUE: thick, white, sticky
PULSE: slow, soft, slippery
SIGNS/SYMPTOMS: sore muscles, numbness, heaviness of the limbs, fixed pain, pain is sorse with cloudy or rainy weather

HEAT BI
TONGUE: yellow coat
PULSE: slippery, rapid pulse
SIGNS/SYMPTOMS: pain involving one or more joints, local redness, swelling, severe pain with limited range of motion, fever, thirst.
